Well, between moving and being super busy at work, I haven't had much time to write. Big surprise, eh?
Here's the big news for the past...week?
Last Saturday (as in two Saturdays ago), Mom drove up with a Uhaul trailer and truck bed full of my crap (note that it wasn't ALL of my crap - just what she could fit). Alicia, Johnny, Jake, Matt, Lisa and Josh all helped us move me in...the boys left to watch the Mizzou game and us girls tackled boxes and arranging of furniture. As grateful as I am that the boys helped me move (believe me, there is no way I can even explain what an awesome job they did - and efficiently and quickly - and Johnny was even suffering the second day of the stomach flu!), we had a bit of moving around of furniture and boxes to do.
The girls left around 3 ish after running out of things for me to boss them around about (Jace was there and we had an incident with pooping where Lisa had to pause to coax him into trying to go - I had to pause for moral support after he asked for me in the bathroom. Neither of us could get him to go - however, the good news is that he has been going for a week now IN the potty without too many problems - big news! Woo! He's poo poo trained!). After the girls left, Mom and I kept working and then finally went to Walmart where she bought me a new flat screen tv! Woo! And other supplies.
We took the tv back to the apartment so we could pick up dinner. Well, much to our annoyance, a drug deal was apparently going on in my new parking lot! Rockstar, dudes. We don't think it was anything hard because dude is too chubby to be a crackhead.
Anywho, Mom and I went to the Plaza (2 minutes away!) and picked up Panera. I wasn't feeling too good but went ahead and got a salad. We finished dinner and started putting the IKEA Expedit cube shelf I got before I moved. We finished that and guess who vomited? Me. Yup. Stomach flu woo woo.
I slept on the couch and soon after we turned off the lights, I had to go from the other end. Well, while I was doing that, I got that horrible urge to vomit and all we had in the new bathroom near me was a paper Christmas present bag. Bad idea of the day: vomiting mostly liquid with a few salad floaties into a PAPER bag. As soon as I was done (dudes, both ends at the same time - not awesome), my bag broke into my lap and spilled its nasty contents all over my lap and the bathroom rug. Sweet. So I stripped to my skivvies and wadded up my pants and rug and walked into the second bedroom where my clothes were. Mom is all like "what's wrong?" and I feably reply "I had an accident." We threw the clothes into the tiniest washer this side of the Mississippi and I found some pants and went to bed...only to get up one more time - both ends. Luckily, this time, I had found a little plastic trashcan. Whew.
Thank goodness that was it for the vomiting.
So I slept like crap and I have this HORRIBLE headache and no more Excedrin. In the morning, Mom went to get coffee and drugs for me. We manage, with me feeling like pure A crapola, to attach my tall bookshelves to the wall so they won't fall over. That's about all we could get done with me feeling nasty.
Mom drove us to Alicia's house where her truck had spent the night. She left and I somehow or other managed to drive home. By then it was about 2 pm and I just crashed until 7 am the next morning.
A two to five minute drive to work is so awesome.
Although, I hardly got any house work done this week since I was busting my behind here at the office. I like work though so I can't complain too much!
Monday I still felt lousy but started to perk up about 2 pm...I hadn't eaten since Saturday evening so it's not surprise I didn't feel good until after finally eating something.
Like I said, most of the week was a blur of working.
The most awesome thing about that weekend (besides getting my kitties back from their grandma) was that Fe got us No Doubt tickets here in town at the Starlight Theater! I could wet my pants I'm so excited!! NO F'ING DOUBT!
Let's see...what else. This past weekend Alicia and I met up with Meredith, Brian, Bobby and Erica for Meredith's 30th birthday. We had dinner at The Cheesecake Factory and although my $10 Strawberry Martini was SO expensive, it was SO good. Then we went back to Brian's house and played drinking games until finally ending up at Missie B's, a raunchy gay bar near my house. Let's just say I wasn't impressed and probably won't be going back anytime soon.
I found out today that if all goes well here, I will be going to NeoCon this summer. So fun!
And I haven't read anything lately and I haven't watched anything because I have one channel: CBS. And it's very fuzzy. Too bad since I have that nice tv!!
Seriously, last Friday, exactly the same, from both ends. Unfortunately (but fortunately for me) D got in my way on the dash to the loo and ended up with vomit down his back and in his slippers. Oops. Good thing really as i probably wouldn't have made it to the loo & i didn't fancy clearing up vomit off the stairs so D getting in my way was a good thing. Glad you are feeling better now tho! xx
